Description

Written in Romaji, this calligraphy reads "Butsu ko sho ten chi", which can be rendered in English as "The light of Buddha illuminates heaven and earth." It is a statement from Zen Buddhism. We assume that the Kakemono was made by a Japanese Zen priest. However, since the signature is not legible to us, we are unable to provide more detailed information on this.

The Kakejiku is very well preserved.
