This Hagi tea bowl presents itself as restrained and quiet in effect, with its softly shifting, cream-colored glaze that transitions in places into pink and beige – an expression of the Japanese wabi-sabi ideal, which celebrates the beauty of imperfection.
The bowl was made by the renowned Japanese master potter Hirose Tanga, whose calm, balanced shaping underscores the meditative character of the tea ceremony.
Please note that unfortunately no wooden box is available for this piece – the bowl is delivered without a storage box. Nonetheless, it impresses with its fine craftsmanship and is excellently suited for lovers of traditional Japanese ceramics.
