The calm, earthy presence of classic Shino ware unfolds in this chawan by Masao Nakajima in a particularly expressive way. Shino-yaki, one of the most tradition-rich ceramics categories of Japan from the Mino region, is characterized by its warm, often feldspar-bearing glaze, which forms fine cracks and natural textures during firing.
