Description

This Bizen sake set presents itself in warm bronze and copper tones, its surface crossed by fine traces of golden ash glaze - the result of a traditional, multi-day firing in a wood-fired kiln entirely without glaze.

The set consists of a slender, slightly waisted sake bottle and three matching drinking cups, all of which were shaped by hand. The smallest differences in form and coloring make each piece a unique work in its own right.

With its elegant, unobtrusive appearance, this ensemble is suited both for a convivial sake gathering and as a decorative highlight for lovers of Japanese ceramic art.
