Description
This impressive kakemono from the Showa period depicts a bird resting on a snow-covered branch. The work captivates with its attention to detail and fine execution on silk, which impressively highlights the wintry scenery and the textures of the snow. The artist Itō Keisui signed the artwork with his characteristic style and his stamp.
The jikusaki made of ceramics lend the kakemono additional elegance, while the included signed wooden box allows for stylish presentation and safe storage. An outstanding example of Japanese art that captures the beauty of nature in its purest form.
