Description

A warm interplay of golden-yellow ash glaze and deep terracotta red characterizes this Shigaraki sake set, whose bulbous flask and matching drinking cup show the characteristic, slightly grainy surface of the famous pottery region.

Both pieces were hand-formed and fired in a wood kiln, with the natural ash glaze creating the shimmering color gradients – a process that cannot be precisely controlled and makes each set a genuine unique work.

The set is delivered in a signed wooden box suitable for dignified storage – an evocative ensemble for lovers of traditional Japanese ceramic art and pottery, and of sake culture.
