Description
This kakemono by the Japanese artist Arii Shōun exudes a calm, almost poetic mood. Finely painted white and red plum blossoms elegantly adorn the gnarled branches of an old tree, while a small bird lends the scenery a lively freshness. The harmony of detail and color reflects the classical aesthetic of traditional Japanese silk painting.
The hand-painted work from the Showa period impresses with careful brushwork and a particularly delicate coloring on high-quality silk. Elegantly complemented by wooden jikusaki, this artwork is a piece of authentic Japanese tradition.
Perfectly suited to lending living spaces a calming atmosphere or stylishly enhancing offices, this kakemono invites you to pause and enjoy the beauty of the moment.
