Description

With a fine porcelain surface and a calm, cultivated presence, this set of two tokkuri represents the renowned Kutani tradition. The understated glaze allows the high material quality of the porcelain to speak for itself, standing in appealing contrast to the earthier stoneware traditions of other Japanese pottery regions.

Kutani porcelain traces its history back to the 17th century and is still regarded today as one of the most esteemed porcelain manufactures of Japan.
