A fascinating example of modern Ohi ware: this chawan comes from Kaihatsu Bunmei (開発文明), the second-generation heir Kaihatsu Bunshichi (二代 開発文七), and bears the title "Kasugayama" (春日山). The subtle, milky white glaze with gentle violet and gray nuances envelops the soft, almost organically shaped silhouette of the bowl in an atmosphere of quiet elegance.
