Description
With powerful earthiness and a striking surface texture, this chawan by Takamichi Kato is crafted in the tradition of Seto ware. The glaze captivates with warm ochre and red tones that settle over the roughly worked surface, highlighting fine cracks and depressions. This creates a lively interplay of color, light, and relief that makes the energy of the firing process palpable.
