Description
A warm, milky-white glaze pattern with strong orange-red fire marks plays across this chawan, immediately revealing the vibrancy characteristic of Shino ware. The slightly irregular, organically shaped body with its undulating rim gives the vessel a pleasant, earthy tactility, while a finely incised plant motif animates the surface in a subtle way.
The glaze shifts in gentle transitions from creamy white to deep rust brown, resulting from the characteristic reaction of the feldspar glaze in wood firing.
